Largely influenced by the post hardcore, alternative, and riot grrrl movements of the 1990s, Handsome’s sound pulls no punches. With a broad range of dynamics, it is both melodic and raw. Their lyrics push for the liberation and self actualization of trans/queer folks, people of color, immigrants, and women, while also exploring, class struggle, defiance, fear, loss, ambivalence, and isolation.
